Err, I know that I'm horribly slow and that I should have mentioned long ago that this TCG most likely won't come along this year - I just wanted to state it properly in this update so that no-one's getting the impression that once this TCG is open, you've got a horrible owner who doesn't make updates on time. D: By the way, I wasn't pleased with the forum - mainly because I think that there's not enough space for role-play content in the text-area - even though it took me a looong time to make all the graphics for it (-_-), so I made a new one: see here. Please don't sign up yet though. (If you do see registered people: Those are NPCs.) I'll probably also have to come up with a new layout because the colors of this one seem to look horrible when using flat screens. And I need to rearrange the cards (as in taking them out out of their folders) because as they are now, it's rather inconvenient when trading per forum. T_T |

Peeking Behind the Curtain

Alright, I've been slacking a bit this month, mainly because we had like ten people in the house for weeks and occupied computers. -_- Thanks to all those who commented on the last post. As for the decks: I've come to the conclusion that combined mediums for a character deck are better than combined characters in a deck, which means that Artwork and Ingame images are bound to be mixed up in the future whenever there's not enough artwork. I've decided to let those who are interested see how far I already am... I'm still undecided about High Spirits! because I don't know how big the reception will be (since there's so much text?!), which may be the reason why I'm so slow. That's why feedback will most likely give me a bit more motivation. So, have a look at it! It's by far not complete - what you see there is only the rough scheme. The main features (the interesting part) like the Black Market/Black Society, the Skill Guild, the scattered sealed books, the Upgrades, the Ranks, the Jobs, the Ranks, etc. aren't there yet. D: ... Please do NOT submit any forms yet. |

As you can see in the previous post, I've installed Cutenews (using Rahenna's template). It really looks cute and all, but I'm almost sure that I won't be able to make use of it since all of the updates will most likely be posted in the forum... (For the forum will play a role more important than in ordinary TCGs, I daresay.) There's still the option of splitting the news into "TCG mechanics" and "story-line" updates - but I'll see to that later. More importantly, I've been working on High Spirits! for more than 8 hours today and I've almost figured out all the basics concerning the special features. I've finished creating all of the basic and donation forms in their respective environment, determining their rewards as well as writing the TCG overview page. I'm also done naming the games and appointing them to the NPCs and will be tackling their realization next. (Coding is no problem - writing is.) I've had about 8 of them up for a while. Once I've implemented more of them and added more pages concerning dealing and abilities, I guess I'll let you have a look at the TCG... Press on the comment link above in order to read the full update. (There are two important questions for you to answer.) |
